I will ruin you for the next man, I’m afraid.
Each protocol I branded onto your mind, so that it was second nature, something that you did before you even realised you were doing it, is going to be something that annoys him, a tiny reminder that he wasn’t the first.
The way he strikes you will be different, because he doesn’t have my hands. Maybe his will be better, although knowing my hands, I find that unlikely. But regardless, you’re going to be thinking about the differences when he lays a hand on you, rather than just losing yourself in the moment.
The problem with how we did things was that I was in your head. And I don’t just up and leave when we’re done. It’s nothing malicious, just… once I’m in, I’m in for a while. I’m the tenant that pushes the limits of his lease, to get a few more weeks out of the contract, even though I should’ve moved out months ago.
I’ve got a part of you flagged and bordered. And as we both know, I’m not the sort to go quietly into the night. If you want to oust me, you’re going to have to work on it. And it’s going to take time, I’m afraid.
